Obtain new plates
This procedure will allow you to obtain the new Yucatan license plates without having to stand in line or attend in person.
Requirements:
- Be registered in the Vehicle Registry of Yucatan.
- Have possesion of the old plates.
- Have current and valid insurance.
Approximate time:
2 weeks.
Vehicle Purchase with Change of Ownership
This procedure will allow you to have your new vehicle under your name before the DMV in Yucatan and with the peace of mind that the vehicle you are buying is in order legally. It also includes vehicles that are from other states in Mexico.

Temporary Vehicle Permit for Foreign Cars
This process will allow you to get or extend your vehicle permit according to your temporary residence in Mexico.
Requirements:
- Banjercito valid permit.
- Valid Temporary Residence Card.
- Proof of address.
